Condominiums A+B were developed as a rehabilitation project of a destitute and decaying residence in South Austin. We chose to transform the architecture of the three units of this project as you move from the east to the west side of the lot. This transformation allowed Unit A to adhere to the existing residential architecture components of the neighborhood and maintain a respectful contextual feel; unit B was allowed to slowly break open and start to use the freedom of more modern architectural elements; unit C, being 75′ from Congress Ave, was completely freed of the traditional neighborhood architectural shackles and embraced a contemporary and open and energetic vibe that has become a critical element of this bustling vibrant neighborhood.
