Found this great old claw foot tub for Apartment 651 on the street in San Francisco
After some work!
During the demolition of the kitchen of the original house we salvaged almost all of the original framing members. We milled them and repurposed them into the finished window and door frames for this apartment. Knots, nail holes and all!
Here is an in-process and very powerful shot of the way the light dramatically moves through the apartment.
These beautiful 2×6 board-form concrete walls serve as the foundation of the residence above and are holding back 9 feet of soil. Because we used a non-flammable, non-toxic, water-based form release agent we were able to re-use the formwork for framing in later stages of this project.
